Abstract

The multi-coloured character is one if the base incident of the world, which is always inequality and variety at the same time. The regionalism and the territoriality essentially is spatial outward form of this multi-coloured quality in the social levels. All the regions represent a specific individuality by means of this multi-coloured character, which not only economic or social difference, but complex unique quality. We can apprehend this mostly in the regional cultural heritage. This paper attempts to abstract definition the cultural heritage in regional respect and to examine its practical role. Namely the cultural heritage is complex and dynamic incident, and its quality and state – the relation of its positive and negatíve factors – have an extremely influence on developing of a region, so they are one of the important resources of the spatial competitiveness. Accordingly research of this appears in more specialized branches of science and professional fields, so in the protection of monuments and built environment, in the research of country and landscape, in the cultural economics, in the cultural tourism, in the heritage industry. But in spatial coherency it can be integrated by the regional science in theory, and by the regional and rural development, generally the regional politics in practice. Relying upon these findings the management of the cultural heritage is one of the three basic principles of the european regional development politics, which is included in the european, national, regional and small regional development plans and documents, too, and utilization of which more and more development projects are based on. This paper after the theoretical approach illustrates this several empiric examples, underlines that research of cultural heritage in spatial aspect may be one of the new, stressed turns of the regional researches equally in approach and methodology.
